Forrest W. Lewis may not be a Charleston-native but has been calling the Lowcountry home since attending the Charleston School of Law. He graduated from Concord University in 2016 with a degree in business administration where he was a scholarship athlete and team captain for the men’s baseball team. Prior to law school, Forrest was a commercial real estate broker out of Washington, D.C.
While attending Charleston School of Law, Forrest assisted his property professor, Dylan Malagrino, in publishing his land-use/zoning law textbook. He was also the recipient of the Presidential Honors Award and Scholarship and graduated, ahead of schedule, Cum Laude.
As a lawyer and problem solver, Forrest’s practice is focused on complex business disputes, real property matters, class action litigation, and land-use/zoning law from the trial court level through appeals. Forrest has a passion for the practice of law and expanding his law-related expertise, if needed, to solve complex issues for his clients.
Originally born in Virginia, Forrest was raised on a tree farm in Maryland, managed by his father, Kelly. Forrest is the first and only member of his family to graduate from college and takes great pride in this achievement. He attacks the practice of law by combining his legal knowledge and complex problem-solving skills with his blue-collar work ethic which was instilled in him at an early age. This is best symbolized through his favorite quote, which he shares his father, and encompasses Forrest, and his practice of law, perfectly; “opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like hard work.” -Thomas Edison
Outside of the office, Forrest enjoys running, surfing, reading, and exploring the Charleston area.
